 ·       Uniqlo chairman keen to work with India’s biz leaders and invest in AP
 ·       CM says he will help them in networking with Indian business leaders.
 Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu met the retail chain’s chairman Yadashahi Yanai. He shared his experience on his visit to Uniqlo’s biggest outlet on Ginza Street last night.
 Mr Yanai said the he’s keen to work with capable business leaders in India. “China benefited by our presence. In China, we know the business leaders. But, we are yet to know business leaders of India,” he said.
 He added that China has just one party which makes it easier to do business there. However, in India, there are several political parties in India and it is, therefore, difficult to do business, he opined.
 The Chief Minister said that he would help them in networking with Indian business leaders. “We have a strong relationship with the Centre. Come, invest in AP. We will ensure that you do not face any hassles in doing business in our state,” he added.
 Mr Yanai thanked the Chief Minister for his visit and said that they are keen on investing in Andhra Pradesh.




Meeting 7 – Toshiba & Softbank
 ·       CM seeks Toshiba’s cooperation in energy, water, healthcare and skill development
 ·       CM seeks Softbank’s support in solar projects in the state
 In a meeting with Hisao Tanaka, Director Representative Executive Officer, President and CEO of Toshiba, the Chief Minister sought their help in reducing T&D losses in power.
 The Chief Minister sought Toshiba’s cooperation in energy, water, healthcare and skill development. “You can also consider manufacturing medical equipment in Andhra Pradesh and can export from our state,” the CM said to Toshiba officials.
 Toshiba’s Tanaka said that they want to be partners in development of Andhra Pradesh. “We will study the proposal and ask our India head to be in touch with your government,” he added.
 In another meeting with Softbank chairman Masayoshi Son, Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu sought Softbank’s support in solar projects in the state.
 Mr Son said that he is interested only in big projects in AP. The CM said that Softbank could also explore opportunities in the infrastructure sector in the state.
