AP to pay pensions through post offices from January-2015

AP to pay pensions through post offices from January-2015 FP dealers to be made Postal agents Andhra Pradesh Government will make all pension disbursements from January -2015 through post offices and recruit fair price shops agents as Postal agents. Chief Secretary Sri IYR Krishna Rao who reviewed the distribution process of pensions at the secretariat today said that all dealers of fair price shops managing the PDS would be appointed as agents of the Postal Department for the purpose of distribution of Pensions. The Chief Secretary said that in the next 2-3 months Government will operationalize the multiple choices in terms of banks, post offices and fair price shops for disbursement of pensions. Post Master General of AP ,Representatives of Banks, Commissioner, Civil Supplies, CEO,SERP and Commissioner, Rural Development Department, etc., attended the review meeting.
