TS Government to solve Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL) problems

Sarathi, Commissioner of Civil Supplies & Ex-Officio Secretary to
Government held a meeting of the Oversight Committee on DBTL today, with the Asst. Director General, UIDAI,
State Level Coordinators of the Oil
Companies, State Level Bankers Committee and other officials of Oil Companies
and Banks.
Commissioner of Civil Supplies has
instructed the Bankers to solve the grievances being faced by LPG consumers as
well as LPG dealers with regard to seeding and software problems. He also advised all the District Collectors
to urgent call for a meeting of the District Level Bankers to expedite the
Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL).
The
Committee discussed about the improvement of the Cash Transfer Compliant (CTC) percentage i.e. about transfer of subsidy, the
Aadhaar seeding at LPG dealer point and at Banks.
It was decided that:
i)
A meeting
will be convened by the Collectors concerned with the Lead District Managers
through the State Level Bankers Committee.
ii)
The
Bankers should solve the software related problems being encountered by the
consumers while switching over Bank accounts.
iii)
Axis Bank
and ICICI Banks should provide closed account list to the Oil Marketing Companies
for advising the customer suitably.
iv)
Forms
collected from the consumers by Oil
Marketing Company distributors should be
sent to the Lead Development Ms for seeding. Lead District Manager should also
give the seeding status to the Oil Companies on a weekly basis. A circular in
this regard should be issued by the SLBC.
v)
DBTL
Banners / Posters should be displayed by Oil Marketing Companies at all the Branches
of all the Banks.
vi)
All Banks
should send SMS to customers informing them of the transfer of subsidy to their
accounts.
vii) Oil Marketing Company distributors shall display the Permanent Enrollment
Centres details prominently in the show rooms for the benefit of customers for
Aadhaar seeding.
The Commissioner of Civil Supplies
informed that a meeting would be called with the 51 Bank Controlling Officers
by the Commissioner of Civil Supplies for software modification and also for
expediting the seeding process.
The Commissioner of Civil Supplies made
it very clear that the pace of Aadhaar seeding with the LPG dealers and the
Banks should be augmented.
The DBTL is already being implemented in
three districts viz., Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Adilabad and in the remaining
seven districts the same will be implemented from 1st January, 2015.
