Minister A. INDRAKARAN REDDY sues against ABN &Andhrajyothi newspaper

 There has been an incorrect publication/broadcast carried out by the daily News Paper Andhra Jyothi and ABN Channel on 07-02-2015 regard to the alleged encroachment on Tank Bed land by my son, A. Gautam Reddy.

 This press release is being issued for denying such allegations and setting out the facts which are as under.

 The news report concerns land in survey No.2032, admeasuring Ac.0.39 Guntas, situated at Nirmal Revenue Village.

o The said survey number has been always categorized as a Patta Land (a patta land has been judicially recognized by the Courts to be private land in respect of which there is no Government right).

 

o The said patta land was conveyed by the original pattadar to others from whom eventually, A. Gautam Reddy purchased as a third sale transaction under a registered sale deed No. 3213 of 2007, dated 06.01.2007 much prior to my becoming a Minister.

 

o In relation to the thenDharmasagar tank, a writ petition was filed before the then Hon'ble High Court of A.P. in W.P. No. 28245 of 2007.  After calling for a report from the District Collector and after verifying the report, the Hon'ble High Court held that it is the only land in survey No.2033 that would constitute FTL or Shikam land.  It was specifically held that other lands including the land in survey No.2032 is not a part of Shikam land and that it cannot be termed as an encroachment.

 

o The Tahsildar, Nirmal issued a certificate vide No. A/2515/2006, dated 02.04.2007 certifying that the land admeasuring Ac.0.39 gts. in Sy. No. 2032 is patta land and not a Shikam land.

 

o The Assistant Engineer, ICADD, M.I. Sub-Division, Nirmal issued a certificate dated 07.04.2007 certifying that the land admeasuring Ac.0.39 gts., in Survey No. 2032, situated at Nirmal Town is above FTL of the DharmasagarTank.

 

 In view of the above, and the clear judgment of the Hon'ble High Court, the news item published against me is wholly incorrect and not based on facts.

 

 I have issued notices instructing the concerned agency to withdraw or retract the said news item and imputationsmade therein failing which, I would be initiating appropriate legal action.
