Pushkara Deeparadhana in all homes on July 25



 The State Government has given a call to the people to perform Pushkara

Deeparadhana at every home on July 25 evening to mark the successful completion

 Addressing a media conference here on Wednesday, Minister for Information

and Public Relations Palle Raghunatha Reddy said that this was decided at the

State Cabinet meeting held at the R and B Guest House here in the morning.

"Everybody should celebrate by lighting lamps, similar to the Deepavali festival. The

entire State should shine brightly in the light. Simultaneously, the Nitya Sandhya

Harati to Godavari river will also be performed, followed by laser show and bursting

Baba Ramdev to attend

 Later, a public meeting would be held at the Government Arts College

grounds where Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev would be present . This would be followed

by a Kuchipudi dance recital by 1,000 artists at a time, he said.

 On Thursday, Isha Foundation's spiritual leader Jaggi Vasudev, China Jeeyar

Swami and Swami Paripoornananda would participate in a programme at Anam

 On the penultimate day on Friday, the rich cultural heritage of Andhra

Pradesh would be showcased with programmes on the history of Andhras.

 After the pushkarams are over, on July 26 morning, a Mahapushkara Vanam

would be launched at Dwan Cheruvu on over 200 acres. This would be followed by

felicitating those who worked commendably during the pushkarams, at a function at

the Government Arts College grounds. Certificates would also be given away to all

participants, the minister announced.

 Replying to questions, he said a judicial probe, preferably by a retired High

Court Judge, would be held into the stampede tragedy at Pushkar Ghat on the

opening day resulting in 27 deaths. He also said the Government was trying to shift

its offices one by one from Hyderabad to Vijayawada and Guntur at the earliest,

though Hyderabad was made joint capital for ten years' period.
