Minister of IT, Mr KT Rama Rao meets Kris Gopalakrishnan, co-founder ofInfosys and Chairman at his chambers

Kris Gopalakrishnan, co-founder of Infosys and Chairman of CII Council on innovation and entrepreneurship, called on Minister of IT, Mr KT Rama Rao in Hyderabad today. Kris represents the Cloud Computing & Innovation Council of India. On behalf of the Council, Kris has offered to locate the Council headquarters in Hyderabad, and support the state in developing a cloud computing ecosystem. As head of the CII Council, he also expressed interest in promoting startups in rural areas of the state.

KT Rama Rao invited Governor Sri ESL Narasimhan for the inaugural of T-Hub

Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj Sri KT Rama Rao on Firday invited Governor Sri ESL Narasimhan for the inaugural of T-Hub to be held on 7 September, 2015. Minister detailed that T-Hub is the largest tech incubator in the country and will nurture the raw ideas by providing technological, legal, business and entrepreneurial support.             Impressed by the idea of T-Hub Sri ESL Narasimhan recollected his visits to various Universities in the capacity of Chancellor. “Students have brilliant ideas but don’t know where and how to showcase them. I hope T-Hub bridges that gap and provides a platform.” While accepting the invite, Hon’ble Governor said that he was interested in interacting with the partners of T-Hub and their plans to groom prospective entrepreneurs. Minister Sri KT Rama Rao also requested the participation of Hon’ble Governor in Grama Jyothy programme. Sri ESL Narasimhan will attend the rural development initiative on Monday.          by TS24x

Panchayat Raj & IT Minister Sri KT Rama Rao participated in Grama Jyothi at Aziz Nagar in Ranga Reddy district.  He initially toured the village by foot and visited Telangana martyr Saritha’s family. The Minister interacted with villagers and inquired about their problems and sought their opinions to get rid of the village problems.  He later participated in the Grama Sabha along with Transport Minister Sri P Mahender Reddy and Chevella MP Sri Konda Vishweshwar Reddy. IT Minister KT Rama Rao met Ratan Tata

IT Minister Mr KT Rama Rao accompanied by IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan met Mr Ratan Tata in Bombay today. Mr Tata was explained about all the digital initiatives being undertaken in Telangana. He was told about the largest technology incubator being set up in Hyderabad called T Hub. Mr Tata gave some valuable suggestions on how this incubator can leverage the presence of pharmaceutical industry and the defence and aerospace industry to innovate new products for them. Mr Tata praised the vision of the government for creating an extensive digital infrastructure and steps taken for digital empowerment. He also showered fulsome praise on the state's new industrial policy calling it one of the best he has ever come across anywhere. Mr Tata has been invited to inaugurate the T Hub building next month.

Thomson brand forays into India in TV & Large Appliances market

 Thomson, a Technicolor group brand, today announced the launch of Thomson LED TVs and Large Home Appliances in India. Thomson products will be manufactured at the state of the facility located in Telangana, India with a total investment of Rs.300 Crores over a period of two years by Resolute Electronics India. This investment will help increase the existing production capacity of LED TVs and set up the manufacturing of large home appliances including Refrigerators, Washing Machines and Air Conditioners. The facility is expected to provide an additional direct employment of more than 500 people. The National Lok Adalat will be held on the subject of Bank matters Section 138 N.I.Act (Pending and pre-litigation cases). Andhra Pradesh State Government is considering importing of onions toboost domestic availability

​   ​ The Andhra Pradesh State Government is considering importing of onions to boost domestic availability of the commodity and to prevent hike in its prices, Chief Secretary said.   ​ ​   ​ Sri I.Y.R. Krishna  Rao , Chief Secretary discussed today on the issue in a meeting with the Officials of Civil Supplies and Agriculture Marketing Departments. Retail prices of onion have already risen between Rs.30/- to Rs.40/- per KG at present. To keep an eye on price, 930 Tonnes of subsidised onions supplied through  Rythu  Bazaars by the concerned Department, Chief Secretary informed.   ​   ​ Chief Secretary directed the officers to prepare an Action plan to look at the possibility of import onions from outside the state, in case of crop failure due to bad weather.
