A UPSC committee to meet on 9th November to Short list the DGP Panel for Telangana state. It is learnt from reliable sources that, Mr. Anurag Sharma would be the next full charged DGP for State, as it shall be the Chief Ministers discretion. Sources said that, the UPSC may not consider the candidature of Mrs Tejdeep Kaur as the State Home department has failed to send her Annual Confidential Report (ACR) in time to the DoPT (Department of Personal & Training). A Committee consists of 5 members among which 2 from UPSC, 1 Jt. Secy each from both DoPT & Home departments of Govt of India. The Chief Secretary of Telangana would also be a member of the Committee. The Govt of Telangana has already sent a 5 membered list to the DoPT a month ago. Jupally Krishna Rao , Hon’ble Minister for Industries , Handlooms & Textiles today surprised LIDCAP at Gachibowli  and conducted a meeting with the employees today morning. MD  LIDCAP  Mr. Saida was also present. He reviewed the Activities of Lidcap  in Telangana state. There are 13 leather parks in Telangana State in the districts of Medak, Nalgonda, Mahboobnagar, Karimnagar, /Warangal, and Nizamabad. While reviewing the Minister was dispeased that LIDCAP has now almost become defunct and all the machinery, sheds  and huge  properties were lying unutilized . There are only security guards at the parks and the number of employees has come down drastically due to retirements. He instructed the Chairman to immediately prepare a report and mention a time limit in which the LIDCAP can be revived at the earliest. Hon’ble Minister for Industries Shri Jupally Krishna Rao and Hon’ble Minister for IT & PR Shri K.T.Rama Rao  met with the  representatives of Cement manufacturing Units in Telangana at the Secretariat today to discuss the issue of supply of cement for white topping roads and other civil works in the state. The White Topping Technology was first tried out on Road No.10, Bajarahills, Hyderabad, This is the cost effective sustainable, timebomb construction. The advantage of this white tapping technology is the reduced thickness, reduced/zero maintenance, and long life of 25-30 years without maintenance.  It was not used earlier due to non availability of cement and mechanised equipment. This white tapping road laying basically is where an inch of the existing road is scraped off, concrete with fibre is laid, sprayed with powder, curing and groove cutting is done to avoid cracks and expansions . Govt. of Telangana has inked an MoU with Hague security delta( Which is cluster in Netherland where businesses, govts, knowledge institutions work together in the area of cyber security). The Deputy Mayor of the city Hague,officials from the embassy and Secretary ITE&C Govt of Telangana Mr Jayesh Ranjan IAS have attended this delegation which happened on 16 th Oct 2015. Representatives from various institutions who work in cyber security from Telangana have also attended this delegation. As part of this initiative govt.of Telangana will work closely with The Hague security delta to share the knowledge in cyber security, security best practices and to combat against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Chief Minister in a review meeting with GHMC officials this morning at his Camp Office instructed them to undertake road network repairs in the city on a war footing by starting the work within ten days and completing them within a month. The review meeting is attended by R and B Minister Sri Tummala Nageswar Rao, Principal Secretary to CM Sri S Narsing Rao , Commissioner GHMC Sri Somesh Kumar, Chief Engineer and Superintendent Engineers of GHMC. Chief Minister said that many roads in many areas in the city were damaged due to rains and they need to be repaired and renewed. He said a list of all such roads has to be prepared immediately so that necessary tenders could be called for online within a short time and entrust work thereafter.
