DGP PANEL TO BE SHORT LISTED ON NOV 9th IN DELHI

A UPSC committee to meet on 9th November to Short list the DGP Panel for Telangana state. It is learnt from reliable sources that, Mr. Anurag Sharma would be the next full charged DGP for State, as it shall be the Chief Ministers discretion. Sources said that, the UPSC may not consider the candidature of Mrs Tejdeep Kaur as the State Home department has failed to send her Annual Confidential Report (ACR) in time to the DoPT (Department of Personal & Training).

A Committee consists of 5 members among which 2 from UPSC, 1 Jt. Secy each from both DoPT & Home departments of Govt of India. The Chief Secretary of Telangana would also be a member of the Committee. The Govt of Telangana has already sent a 5 membered list to the DoPT a month ago.
Mr. Kode Durga Prasad, Mrs Aruna Bahuguna, Anurag Sharma, AK Khan & Tejdeep Kaur were among Seniority list for New DGP Panel. Sources said, it will further take another 15 days for Short List to reach State Govt. By the month December, 2015, New DGP will take full charge responsibility.
