TelanganaTableau presented Republic day

Government of Andhra Pradesh Tableau has presented Republic day  tableau  on the theme of Sankrathi sambaralu today at 66 th  Republic day parade held at New Delhi in perfect synthesis with colourfully decorated ‘Gangireddu’ with musicians either sides and ‘Garisalu’ granaries filled with paddy in front portion denotes the new  harvest  as mark of Sankranthi festival.             And on the rear portion of the tableau shown a live model performing ‘Gopuja’ as marks this agrarian festival.  Kite festival with village background traditionally decorated house with ‘Rangolis’ and girls dancing around ‘Gobbemmalu’ is mid portion of the tableau to impress the spectators that they are  witnessing  Sankranthi festival. The traditional artists like ‘Harudasulu’ singing ‘Hari keertanas’ folk musicians like ‘Jangama Devaralu’ ‘Goravaiahlu’ ‘Budabukkalu’ ‘ and ladies  carrying  gobbemalu and the granary pots are shown either sides of the tableau with 26 traditional and classical artists

AP, USTDA ink MoU to develop Visakhapatnam as smart city

The Government of Andhra Pradesh and US Trade Development Agency today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Development of Smart Cities in Andhra Pradesh.  Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh I.Y.R. Krisha Rao and Director, U.S. Trade Development Agency (USTDA) Leocadia I Zac signed the MOU in presence of Minister for Urban Development Venkaiah Naidu and various officials of US and Indian governments.   Under this Agreement, USTDA intends to contribute funding for feasibility studies/pilots, study tours workshops/trainings.  USTDA will also support consultancies and advisories for the development of Visakhapatnam into smart City.  Other agencies of the US Government like the Department of Commerce, US Exim Bank would also support the effort of the two parties to the MoU. Meanwhile, the US Industry Organization which has shown interest in participating in the development of Visakhapatnam would provide the necessary infrastructure facilities like aviation

PRATYUSH SINHA COMMITTEE TO MEET TODAY

The Pratyush Sinha Committee constituted to bifurcate All India Services officers to meet on 19.01.15 (Today) in New Delhi. Chief Secretaries of both AP & Telangana will attend the meeting to discuss on change of Cadre requests submitted by AIS officers allotted to both states. Last date for submission of request to change the Cadre has ended on 10.01.15 (Saturday). There are a total of 50 AIS officers from both Telangana & AP have requested Pratyush Sinha Committee to change their Cadre. IAS 30 IPS 10 IFS 10 Officers allotted to Telangana like Anil Singhal AK Pharida Ajay Jain etc.. And some other have approached DoPT to change their Cadre to AP. The Govt of India will decide on Change of Cadre requests with in One month of last date of sending request. A letter jointly signed by both the Chief Secretaries regarding retaining some officers has already been sent to the DoPT in the first week of January, 2015. Marking the dawn of new era of leadership in the new state of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu extended his wishes on the eve of Makara Sankranti. Stating that this Sankranti should be memorable for every Telugu person in the new state, the Chief Minister said “I hope this festival of harvest brings you happiness.” He hoped that the festival brings prosperity and new opportunities and gives everyone the strength to work towards building a state of every Telugu’s person’s dreams. “I hope you celebrate this festival with fervour and Gaiety, with rays of joy and hope with your family members and well wishers,” he said. GHMC is launching a innovative scheme to the retired sports persons who have represented India in LOYMPICS, COMMON HEALTH GAMES, ASIAN GAMES and National Medalist and participants, from Telangana State  by giving Rs. 10,000/- PM to the Senior sports persons. who are in need of financial support. Minister for Tourism Sri.Azmeera Chandulal Garu, Govt. of Telangana, has inaugurated Tourism's Information and Reservation Stall at All India Industrial Exhibition Centre, Exhibition Grounds, Nampally, Hyderabad on 12th of Jan.'2015 at 4.00 p.m. During the occasion the Hon'ble Minister for Tourism, Govt. of Telangana requested the visitors of Tourism Stall and Exhibition to obtain the information of tourism destination and its facilities.  He has also informed that the reservation facility is also available for the benefit of the visitors.  Sri.Summeet Singh, Managing Director, Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation, Sri.B.Manohar, Executive Director, TSTDC, Mr.Mahesh, Asst.Director, Dept. of Tourism, Govt. of Telangana, were also present during the inauguration. MGNREGS has made a significant dent in the poverty and vulnerability in rural areas- KT Rama Rao

At the outset, I would like to congratulate the MoRD, Government of India for convening this regional conference of State Rural Development Ministers on MGNREGS. This really provides a platform for sharing the experiences, mutual learning and reflect upon further ways to take the scheme forward for the benefit of the poorest of the poor. I believe everybody will agree that eight years implementation of MGNREGS has made a significant dent in the poverty and vulnerability in rural areas. In our State of Telangana MGNREGS is implemented in 9 rural districts covering 443 Mandals.  100 crore person days have been generated with an expenditure of Rs. 9,800 since inception. On an average about 25 lakh households are provided wage employment every year. This is 45% of registered households. "New Telangana State Portal To Be Launched in a week" - Harpreeth Singh, Secretary, IT, E & C Dept, Telangana

Telangana state IT Department is planning to launch the newly developed State Portal in a week's time. The current portal at  www.telangana.gov.in  was made as a stop-gap arrangement during the bifurcation of the state. The new portal was designed as per the national and international guidelines for government websites. The new portal has special features, so that even differently-abled people can access the content on the site. Initially the English version of the portal would be launched, followed by Telugu and Urdu versions. The portal contains exhaustive information about the State history, culture, and all important statistics. Special sections of the portal are devoted to information about the various flag-ship programs of the Telangana government like Mission Kakatiya, Water Grid etc. Links to all important citizen services, and links to downloadable forms are also provided.
